Membership

Lions Club Member

Being a Lion is a great opportunity to get to know and develop personal and professional relationships with people in our communities. You will be asked to participate in various events throughout the year. As a Lion, you can make a positive impact in your community.

Meeting Requirements

Members are asked to attend regular monthly business meetings which are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month. These meetings are held at 6:30 P.M. at The American Legion Post 304 (4220 S. Main St. Acworth, GA 30101). Meetings do not last more than 2 hours.

Membership costs

Lions Club International requires a modest initiation fee of $35 and the North Cobb Lions Club has dues of $30 quarterly along with dinner costs.

By conducting vision screenings, equipping hospitals and clinics, distributing medicine and raising awareness of eye disease, Lions work toward their mission of providing vision for all.

We have extended our commitment to sight conservation through our international Sight First Program, which works to eradicate blindness.

Our community projects often support local children and schools through scholarships, recreation, and mentoring. Internationally, we offer many programs, including: The Peace Poster Contest, Youth Camps and Exchange, and Lions Quest.

Our Leo program provides personal development through youth volunteer opportunities. There are approximately 144,000 Leos and 5,700 Leo clubs in more than 140 countries worldwide.

Since 1968, the Lions Clubs International Foundation has awarded more than $700 million in grants to support Lions humanitarian community projects around the world.

Together, our foundation and Lions are helping communities following natural disasters by providing immediate needs such as food, water, clothing, and medical supplies- and aiding in long-term reconstruction.
